How group
charges work.
This page explains what a client is charged for a group activity. It is not Shwifti’s software subscription pricing.
Start with the worker and clients
Each worker gets a column on the group board. A 1:3 ratio means one worker supporting three clients. Set a different ratio for each worker and check each client’s agreed price.
Record who actually attended and for how long. Use support periods for late arrivals, early departures and unpaid breaks. Simultaneous support by multiple workers needs a recorded agreement; each worker’s support is billed separately.

NDIS group ratio
For supported hourly group-activity items, Shwifti divides a client’s agreed base hourly rate by that worker’s actual group size. The client keeps their full support duration. For example, $60 per hour divided between three participants is $20 per client per hour, or $40 each for two hours.
Each client’s hourly price
Charge each client their agreed hourly rate for the time they attended. One client at $60 per hour for two hours is charged $120.
Split billable time
Divide the worker’s billable time between the participants in each support period, then apply each client’s agreed rate. This is a separate option from NDIS ratio pricing.
Set rates before the activity
Save default or dated service rates on a client profile. New visits use the applicable rate. Give a reason for an override, or lock an agreed hourly rate for an activity. Saved shifts retain their prices when profile rates change.
Locked rates stay fixed when ratios change, subject to the selected NDIS reference. Confirm a change of pricing method and review every client’s charge before saving.
Review before invoicing
Attendance creates Submitted timesheets. A coordinator checks each client’s time and charges before approval. Create a separate invoice for each client from approved time.
NDIS reference and limits
The implemented reference covers standard and high-intensity hourly group activities, supported location categories and day/time bands. The app checks the selected band against the visit; coordinators confirm public holidays. Separate sessions are needed across different price bands.
Shwifti uses the 2026–27 Pricing Schedule v1.2 for reference rates and item codes, and the group-support method in the 2025–26 Pricing Arrangements v1.1. Both are linked on the NDIS pricing page.
Check the service agreement, support item and applicable rules before billing. Eligibility, travel, cancellations, non-face-to-face work, centre costs, SIL and claim submission are not automatically assessed. Shwifti’s calculations are not a compliance certification.
